The objective of a Backgammon game is to move your checkers around the Backgammon board and pull those pieces from the game board faster than your opposing player who works just as hard to achieve the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. Winning a round in Backgammon requires both strategy and luck. How far you will be able to shift your pieces is left to the numbers from tossing the dice, and just how you move your chips are decided on by your overall playing techniques. Enthusiasts use different techniques in the different stages of a game based on your positions and opponent’s.
The Running Game Plan
The aim of the Running Game plan is to bring all your chips into your inside board and bear them off as quickly as you could. This plan focuses on the pace of shifting your checkers with absolutely no time spent to hit or stop your opponent’s chips. The best time to employ this technique is when you believe you might be able to move your own chips quicker than the opponent does: when 1) you have a fewer pieces on the game board; 2) all your chips have past your competitor’s chips; or 3) your opposing player doesn’t use the hitting or blocking plan.
The Blocking Game Plan
The main goal of the blocking tactic, by the title, is to stop your competitor’s checkers, temporarily, while not worrying about shifting your chips rapidly. Once you have established the blockage for the competitor’s movement with a few pieces, you can move your other checkers quickly from the board. The player should also have a clear plan when to back off and shift the pieces that you used for blocking. The game gets intriguing when the opponent utilizes the same blocking strategy.
