[ English ]

The objective of a Backgammon match is to shift your chips around the game board and get those pieces from the game board quicker than your opponent who works harder to do the same buthowever they move in the opposite direction. Succeeding in a game in Backgammon requires both tactics and fortune. Just how far you will be able to move your pieces is left to the numbers from rolling the dice, and how you shift your checkers are determined by your overall gambling plans. Enthusiasts use a number of strategies in the differing parts of a match depending on your positions and opponent’s.

The Running Game Technique

The goal of the Running Game strategy is to entice all your checkers into your inner board and bear them off as quickly as you can. This technique focuses on the pace of moving your chips with absolutely no time spent to hit or barricade your opponent’s checkers. The ideal time to employ this technique is when you think you can shift your own checkers quicker than your opposition does: when 1) you have a fewer chips on the board; 2) all your chips have past your competitor’s pieces; or 3) your opponent doesn’t use the hitting or blocking plan.

The Blocking Game Strategy

The primary aim of the blocking technique, by the name, is to stop your competitor’s chips, temporarily, while not fretting about moving your checkers rapidly. After you have created the blockade for the competitor’s movement with a couple of chips, you can move your other pieces rapidly from the board. You will need to also have a good strategy when to extract and move the checkers that you utilized for the blockade. The game becomes interesting when your opponent utilizes the same blocking technique.
